Ed has been performing on the folk scene, especially in North West England for over 50 years (he started young).

Ed’s repertoire is an eclectic mix of traditional and contemporary songs, carefully chosen, beautifully sung with well-crafted guitar and cittern accompaniment.

He was a resident at Clitheroe Folk Club in the 1970s with Nevis and Litany. Ed is a founder member of Bandersnatch, a solo performer and also performs with Nick Caffrey and Robin Madge in the highly regarded trio "Caffrey/McGurk/Madge".

Ed is also a member of The Riot Band, one of Lancashire’s most popular ceilidh bands.
