The
musical styles of Bandersnatch are as diverse as the lineup suggests.
The band has the ability to move seamlessly from traditional folk song
to contemporary material, including the considerable body of original
songs penned by Clive Leyland. There is no lead performer - roles
change to meet the demands of the music.
Bandersnatch
are comfortable playing unplugged in a small folk clubroom or on a
large stage. Complex musical and vocal arrangements are delivered with
an understated ease that allows the richness of the sound to engage
the audience, whilst avoiding flashiness. The flexibility resulting
from the band’s instrumental versatility allows it to adapt its
music to the venue and to the audience. Bandersnatch appeal equally to
folk music enthusiasts and to those who simply appreciate quality
songs skillfully performed.
Repertoire: The bands repertoire
includes traditional, contemporary and self-penned songs and
occasionally some traditional and ragtime tunes.
Band members: Dennis Dodds, ,
Rebecca Raw, Ian Kell, Ed McGurk, Norman Raw and Alan Roscoe.

encapsulated quite simply the very best of all the ingredients that
promote this kind of music. Their performance was professionally
entertaining yet wonderfully warm.”

having these guys back.”

“The
arrangements were great and the singing was fantastic; they all seem to
have voices strong enough to take lead vocals and the harmonies were
spot on.”

repertory that's rich in diversity; this is a band at its creative peak.
Loved 'em. Quite simply, they hit the spot.”
