Repertoire:	We are a 3-piece band based in Blackburn playing what could be described as “Lancashire Celtic Folk Rock” with a fair bit of fun stuff thrown in.
Other info:	Moorland Folk consists of: Dave Higginson (Lead Vocals, Guitar) Des Powell (Bass, Vocals) Dylan Owen (Lead Guitar, Vocals, Banjo) What's the band like?? Brilliant lead guitar, powerful rhythms and a great bass, a tremendous selection of wonderful songs many featuring 3 part harmony and uplifting choruses. Dylan Owen (lead guitarist, and also runs Ossey Acoustic Nights) is a star in his own right with his own hilarious and crazy songs many with local themes and provides a mini cabaret in the middle of our show. The band was formed in 1975 and has played regularly ever since (over 1000 gigs so far) in pubs, clubs, festivals and private events of all kinds. We are regulars at several local folk nights (Farmer’s Glory, Haslingden Old Rd, The New Hall Tavern, Salmesbury, Coalclough Inn, Burnley, and the Bay Horse, Osbaldeston) taking folk music to the masses. We play about 20 private concerts a year. We are regulars at Fylde Folk Festival. PDF File HERE
